Monument Fee

Monument & Entry Fees in Odisha

Most of Odisha’s great temples are free to enter. A handful of sites are ticketed by the Archaeological Survey of India, and the wildlife parks are permitted by the State Forest Department. This page sets out what you can expect to pay so there are no surprises on tour.

Please note: entry fees are set by the Archaeological Survey of India, the Odisha Forest Department and individual site authorities, and are revised from time to time. The figures below are indicative and were last reviewed in September 2026. We confirm the exact amount for your group in writing at the time of booking.

Unless your package explicitly states otherwise, monument entry fees, camera charges, guide fees and forest permits are not included in the tour cost and are payable at actuals.

Ticketed Monuments (Archaeological Survey of India)

ASI charges a concessional rate for citizens of India and of SAARC and BIMSTEC countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Maldives, Thailand and Myanmar). Children below 15 years enter free at all ASI monuments.

Before You Visit

  • Carry photo identification. Indian nationals claiming the concessional rate may be asked for proof.
  • ASI monuments accept online tickets. We can book these in advance for your group to save queuing time.
  • Still photography is generally free at ASI sites; video cameras, tripods and drones may attract a charge or require written permission.
  • Mobile phones, cameras, leather goods and tobacco are not allowed inside the Jagannath and Lingaraj temples. Paid lockers are available near the gates.
  • Dress modestly at places of worship, and be prepared to remove footwear before entering.
  • Licensed guides charge separately from the entry ticket. We can arrange English, Hindi, Odia, Bengali, French or German speaking guides on request.
  • Monuments are usually open sunrise to sunset. Museums and zoos close one day a week — we plan itineraries around this.
